Color exists all around us, but we don't always take the time to enjoy its beauty, feel its emotions or understand its power. Explore the boundaries of "color" for this annual exhibit. Photographers are invited to submit up to four(4) images based on the presentation of color. Submissions may be "traditional" photography, abstract images, mixed media, manipulations or manufactured composites that incorporate this theme.

Exhibit is limited to appx 30 pieces. Included pieces will be juried by a peer panel from the submissions. Evaluations will be based on: Composition, Impact, Creativity, Technical Execution and Consistency with the Theme.

The gallery is in a performing arts center open to all ages. Images submitted should be appropriate for this environment. 

Since 1994, the New Jersey Photography Forum has grown to be one of the largest groups of exhibiting fine art photographers in the New York area. We have successfully run an annual juried exhibit through the Watchung Arts Center since our founding that has developed into one of the most important photography exhibits in the metropolitan area.

• There will be an in-person exhibit at the Watchung Arts Center, November 1-November 29, 2026 as well as an online exhibit. 
• Approx. 50 images will be chosen from the total submissions received by August 23, 2026 at midnight EST.
•  Those images will be included in a virtual exhibit featured on the NJ Photography Forum website.
• Cash awards for Excellence and Merit will be presented at the opening reception on November 8. 
• There will be 3 experienced jurors from the international art community.
• An Artist Reception, open to the public, will be held on Sunday, November 2 from1-4pm at the Watchung Arts Center.  Wine and snacks will be served.  
• We will conduct a Zoom conference on November 14th from 3-5pm (ET) moderated by the curator, who will review the exhibit as well as coordinate brief chats with several of the artists.
• There will be lots of press.
